Guide To Finding Your Path Forward
Tru North is a self-help podcast featuring two African American men, born and raised in the inner city, with a wide range of life experiences. We take you on our journey in education, finance, parenting, marriage, etc.. And most importantly we are here to help you navigate your world.
Collaboration with City Officials
We believe that effective partnerships with city officials are essential in addressing the needs of our community. By actively engaging with the Mayor's office, police department, sheriff's department, and other city officials, we strive to contribute to the overall well-being and safety of our city. We participate in town hall meetings, provide input on community initiatives, and work together to find solutions to local challenges.
Involvement with the Local Schools System
Education plays a vital role in shaping the future of our community. Calvary Community Church is committed to supporting and empowering the local schools system. We collaborate with teachers, administrators, and school boards to identify areas where we can make a positive impact. This involvement includes volunteering in schools, organizing educational programs, providing resources to students and teachers, and offering mentoring opportunities.
Support of and Involvement with Local Nonprofit Organizations
We recognize the importance of supporting and partnering with local nonprofit organizations that are dedicated to addressing various community needs. Calvary Community Church actively supports organizations such as United Way, Foundation for Youth, Community Education Coalition, Heritage Foundation, NAACP, and many others. We contribute financially, volunteer our time, and engage in joint initiatives to maximize the positive impact we can have on our community.
